Apparently, the University of Santo Tomas Growling Tigers Sorsogon bubble fiasco has reached the international scene.

After head coach Aldin Ayo resigned from the team, the prized school is currently looking for a replacement in the crucial post for the Growling Tigers as the next chief orchestrator.

With several big names in the Philippine basketball scene already signifying their interest in the vacancy, another veteran foreigner coach will be joining the party and will present himself as one of the strongest candidates for the team.

Chris Daleo, the former Thailand national team head coach with almost 30 years of experience as a coach, confirmed that he sent an email to the school regarding the vacant coaching post.

“I have been following the UAAP Final Four and I’m very curious about installing a culture,” Daleo shared.

Daleo spent his last three years helping several basketball clubs win championships in the Thailand Basketball League.

Daleo won a total of seven championships in Thailand and is already considered a basketball icon with his many achievements in the Thai basketball scene.

“They want to win. I feel that I can offer a part of that culture that appreciates winning,” said the 52-year-old coach referring to the Growling Tigers.
