FOUR men facing separate rape charges were arrested in separate operations in Concepcion, Iloilo.
Police Staff Sergeant JeypeeBiñas, Concepcion police investigator, identified the suspects as Lito Faustino, Christian Labrador, Dante Balsomo, and Ian Bordes.
Lito Faustino, 36, was arrested 5:30 p.m. of July 4, 2019 at his house at Barangay Lo-ong, Concepcion.
He was accused for four counts of rape by carnal knowledge under Article 266 -A paragraph 1 of the Revised Penal Code, as amended by Republic Act 8353 (The Anti-Rape Law of 1997) in relation to RA 7610 (Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act).
The cases are docketed as Criminal Case Nos. 2019-0985 to 2019-0988. No bail was set for his temporary liberty.
Judge Oscar Leo Billena of the Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 66, Barotac Viejo, Iloilo issued the arrest warrant on June 21, 2019.
A 15-year-old girl stood as complainant against the suspect.
Meanwhile, while Labrador, Balsomo, and Borres were all collared on July 5, 2018 at Barangay Poblacion, Concepcion.
Labrador, 20, married of Barangay Nipa, Concepcion, was arrested at 11:00 a.m. while Balsomo, 20, of Lo-ong village, was arrested 30 minutes later.
On the other hand, the 19-year-old Borres, also of Lo-ong village, was nabbed 2:30 p.m.
The three were charged separately although only one woman stood as complainant against them.
The woman allegedly had a relationship with one of the suspects.
But one of the suspects justified that the complainant was the one who invited them for a drink.
Just like Faustino, all the three suspects are also detained at Concepcion Police Station lock-up cell, as no bail was set for their temporary freedom.
