Boxing fans will surely enjoy the first quarter of 2023.

Tyson Fury against Oleksandr Usyk. Who’s your bet fight fans?

It’s official. Veteran boxing promoter Bob Arum, who also handled Manny Pacquiao’s career in the sport of boxing, announced that the two most dominant heavyweight boxers have already agreed to a unification bout set to take place next year.

“The two fighters have agreed to fight each other next. With Fury and Usyk we’re dealing with two adults, not a lot of rubbish back and forth. Usyk is a good friend of mine, he is very intelligent and Tyson is superman, both as an athlete and as an intellect,” said Arum.

Fury already called out Usyk who already was at the ringside of the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium moments after his victory over Derek Chisora.

The World Boxing Council (WBC) heavyweight champion then dared Usyk to put his International Boxing Federation (IBF), World Boxing Organization (WBO), and World Boxing Association (WBA) championship belts on the line.

Uysk rose to stardom after beating up former heavyweight king Anthony Joshua two-straight times and is still undefeated in 20 bouts with 13 wins coming via way of knockout.

The Ukrainian boxer is known for his technical approach in his fights, hitting like a heavyweight while moving like a welterweight just like the boxing experts describe him.

Usyk put up one of the most dominant performances in heavyweight history after bullying Joshua in their two bouts.

On the other hand, Fury, who already announced his retirement from the sport several months ago but made a surprising return, is also heading into his 28th professional fight without a loss.

Fury already wrapped up his rivalry with the hard-hitting Deontay Wilder after knocking him out in their last two fights that was tagged as one of the best heavyweight rivalries of all time.

“Now the question is what’s the date and what’s the site. But that fight is definitely going to happen and it will happen in the first four months of next year,” added Arum.
