The Barangay Ginebra San Miguel squad overwhelmed the Meralco Bolts with their firepower in Game 4 of the PBA Governor’s Cup Finals, 94-72, going up 3-1 with just a win away to capture the championship.

Justin Brownlee spoiled Allen Durham’s Best Import of the Conference Award as he torched the Bolts from start to finish, firing 27 huge points in his statement game.

Aside from the huge point production, Brownlee also dished out 8 assists, grabbed 8 rebounds, had 5 steals, and rejected 4 shots in his best all-around performance of the finals.

Brownlee’s 15-point second quarter proved to be the turning point of the match as Ginebra never looked back after Brownlee’s eruption and stepped on the gas throughout the game.

Meralco’s cold outing in the field was capitalized completely by Ginebra as they blitzed to their court in fast-break motion, scoring a bunch off outlet passes.

Giving up tons of possessions and their miscommunication in the defensive end also blasted the Bolts as they were not able to cut the lead to single digits in the last frame.

The Bolts will try to bounce back today, 7:00 PM, in the Mall of Asia Arena.
