Globe amplifies Dinagyang Festival experience with GlobeOne App, exciting activities

In line with its efforts to engage and connect with customers across the nation in innovative ways, Globe is ready to elevate the Dinagyang Festival with the GlobeOne app.

Renowned as one of the largest festivals in the Philippines in honor of the Sto. Niño, Dinagyang attracts a large audience each year in Iloilo, blending religious reverence with vibrant cultural festivities.

“HALA BIRA! As we join hands with the Iloilo community, we are excited to bring a blend of tradition and technology to one of the Philippines’ most celebrated festivals,” said Pia Gonzalez-Colby, Globe’s Chief Marketing Officer.

“Our presence at Dinagyang is our way of showing our commitment to offering unique and meaningful opportunities to our customers. Through the GlobeOne app, we are leveraging digital innovation to elevate their on-ground experience,” she added.

From January 26 to 28, 2024, Globe will mount Globe Passion City at Bonifacio Drive in Downtown Iloilo, offering immersive activities. Globe customers can enjoy a variety of attractions including the GUDI Drip Studio for personalized keychains, the Art Co-Lab for a live wall mural, and Claw Machines for a chance to win exclusive merchandise when they donate their Rewards points or avail of Globe promos.

From January 24 to 27, local and foreign tourists arriving at the Iloilo International Airport can also instantly earn FREE Globe Rewards points simply by showing their GlobeOne profile to brand ambassadors at the Globe booth by the Arrival bays. These points can then be used at numerous attractions within Globe Passion City.

Adding to the festival’s excitement, Globe is hosting the G Music Fest at Sunburst Park on January 28. This musical extravaganza will feature performances from Manila’s top artists like The Itchyworms and BINI, alongside the best talents from Visayas and Mindanao, including The Dukes, ensuring an unforgettable night for festival-goers.

Admission is free to the music fest, but Globe customers can get front row access. To know how, Globe users should check out the Passion City registration area from January 24 to 27.

“The Dinagyang Festival is a perfect platform for Globe to showcase how technology can elevate cultural experiences. Through the GlobeOne app, we are offering our customers not just connectivity, but also a gateway to a more immersive and enjoyable festival,” said Crisela Magpayo-Cervantes, Globe’s Vice President for Marketing Communications.

Globe’s involvement in the Dinagyang Festival is part of its broader initiative to engage with communities across the Philippines. By integrating technology with cultural festivities, Globe continues to demonstrate its role as a catalyst for bringing people together and creating shared experiences.
