Globe Business has reinforced its role as a trusted digital partner for the banking, financial services, and insurance (BFSI) sector through its new web series, “The Breakthrough: A Webinar on Cultivating a Digital Mindset for the Future-Driven Financial Institution.”
The two-part series follows “The Breakthrough: A World of Financial Possibilities,” which aimed to upskill BFSIs and MSMEs by sharing technological advancements and best practices in digital transformation.
Industry leaders and technology experts led discussions on Open Finance and strategies for improving customer experience and cyber resilience.
Joms Lapira from the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) emphasized the importance of digital transformation for economic development.
“There is significant growth within the MSME space where it is very timely to innovate,” Lapira said.
He highlighted BSP’s initiatives, including the Open Finance Framework and Regulatory Sandbox, to support digitalization.
Red Nadela of GCash discussed driving financial efficiency through emerging technologies.
“Building simpler banking and financial operations starts with identifying customer-centric problems,” Nadela stated.
He noted that digitalization enables daily transaction monitoring and data analysis, revealing new business opportunities.
“Digitized payments are anchored on the shift of customer behavior and ease of ‘cash’ handling,” he added.
Ed Joson, Chief Product Officer at Tonik Bank, spoke about enhancing customer experience to drive acquisition success.
“The advantage of being digital is that we can create new products that are not yet in the market, we can scale our offerings fast,” Joson said.
He stressed the importance of creating accessible, community-focused customer touchpoints.
Joson highlighted the need for anti-digital fraud measures as part of business security.
“When you build your business, you are part of the chain of security. It is important that you know how to protect yourselves,” he concluded.
Globe Business supports these frameworks with secure data exchange and cloud solutions across BFSI subsegments.
The company offers industry-tailored, needs-based products to strengthen relationships among stakeholders.
Globe Business fulfills its brand promise by engaging with industry associations and fostering partnerships.
The initiative demonstrates Globe Business’s commitment to digital enablement and financial sector transformation in the Philippines.
