Globe Earns ISO 22301:2019 Certification for Business Continuity

Globe Telecom has secured the ISO 22301:2019 certification for Business Continuity Management Systems (BCMS), reaffirming its commitment to uninterrupted service delivery and crisis readiness.

Valid until 2027, this certification highlights Globe’s robust framework for safeguarding critical operations during natural disasters and unforeseen disruptions.

“This achievement is a clear indication of Globe’s constant state of readiness to respond to challenges. Our efficient teams, coupled with effective processes, guarantee the delivery of essential products and services to our customers whatever the situation may be,” said Carlo Puno, Globe’s Chief Financial Officer, Treasurer, and Chief Risk Officer.

Globe has consistently maintained this certification since 2012, underscoring its dedication to excellence in business continuity.

The ISO 22301 standard provides a comprehensive guideline for planning, implementing, and continuously improving BCMS processes. Globe’s continuity management policy prioritizes employee safety, data protection, and infrastructure reliability.

In the disaster-prone Philippines, which ranks high on the 2023 World Risk Index, Globe’s strategies include retrofitting towers to meet the National Structural Code, redundant transport facilities, and robust power backups at critical sites.

Globe leverages Cell Broadcast Systems (CBS) for geo-targeted disaster alerts, aligning with the Free Mobile Disaster Alerts Act to keep communities informed.

Post-disaster, Globe deploys Rapid Deployment Solutions like Network-in-a-Box, Cell Site on Wheels, and Tower on Wheels to restore connectivity and facilitate Libreng Tawag and Libreng Charging services in affected areas.
