BACOLOD CITY – Police arrested a 21-year-old job order casual employee, who was tagged in the killing of a game farm caretaker in Talisay City, Negros Occidental last week.

Police Major Wilfredo Benoman Jr., deputy chief of Talisay City Police Station, said the suspect was apprehended in Barangay Granada here last Friday, hours after a shooting incident happened that claimed the life of 29-year-old Felix Baylocon at Zone 5, Barangay Concepcion, Talisay City.

Benoman said the suspect was sighted in the area during a dragnet operation through the description provided by a witness, who later positively identified him.

Police recovered from the suspect a .38 caliber revolver, with four live ammunition, and a holster. He will also be subjected to a paraffin test.

Baylocon was having coffee with his live-in partner at the game farm when the suspect arrived and shot him in the left shoulder and neck. The victim’s live-in partner was unharmed.

Benoman said they still have yet to establish the motive. Murder charges will be filed against the suspect, he added.
