BACOLOD CITY – A tragic incident occurred last Saturday when a 10-year-old boy was found lifeless at the shoreline of Purok Maaswa, Barangay General Luna, Toboso, Negros Occidental.

The victim, a fourth-grade student whose name has been withheld, was last seen by his parents around 11 a.m. on the same day, according to Police Major Jun Ray Batadlan, the town’s police chief.

“After their lunch, the boy headed to the sea alone, without his parents’ consent,” Batadlan stated.

The parents began a search when they discovered their son was missing. Regrettably, the young boy had drowned by that time.

In the afternoon, around 4 p.m., the boy was spotted lifeless, adrift near the shoreline, Batadlan reported.
