After almost a month of eliminations, the 2023 Milo Champion’s League Guimaras leg basketball tournament will finally hold its grand finals today, at the Lawi Gym in Jordan, Guimaras.

Six talented teams will be vying for the prestigious Milo gold medals in the three different categories: the 12-under, 18-under, and the 25-under.

Before the championship matches will begin, a battle for the third place set of games will be treating the Guimarasnon hoops enthusiasts in the morning.

Playing first for the battle for third schedule are team JNHS against team Falcons in the 18-U category followed by team Shooting Camps going up against Lawi Bruisers in the 12-U and Young Guns vs the NV Growling Leopards in the 25-U.

Team Sta. Teresa Stryper will then seek to claim the gold medal in the 12-U category but will have to surpass team Buluangan Hotshots first.

The next game will be a highly-anticipated clash between the Eastern Waves and team Archegos in the 18-under category.

Last but not the least, a heavyweight matchup between PCBA and Archegos will be highlighting the grand finals match in the 25-U category.

Current West Visayas State University (WVSU) sports director Dr. Richard Gabayoyo is still the league commissioner and is happy to successfully pull off a huge sporting event for the province.

“I am looking forward for more partnerships with Governmental and Non-Government Organizations to continue promote sports especially basketball to the young children in the Province of Guimaras,” said Dr. Gabayoyo in an exclusive interview with the Daily Guardian.
