In San Miguel, Jordan, Guimaras, the Dr. Catalino Gallego Nava Provincial Hospital (DCGNPH) has inaugurated a Wound Care Clinic, marking a substantial advancement in local medical services. Launched on April 4, 2024, the clinic is conveniently situated on the ground floor of the hospital, adjacent to the Emergency Room, offering specialized outpatient wound care.
Dr. Allain Babao, the OIC Chief of Hospital, declared the clinic as a testament to DCGNPH’s dedication to elevating the standard of healthcare services. The clinic’s opening ensures residents with complex or chronic wounds can receive dedicated treatment without the need to travel to Iloilo City.
Dr. Lister Leonida, the orchestrator of the clinic’s establishment and its appointed leader, expressed a deep commitment to sharing his wound care expertise within the community.
“Gusto ko man nga ma-impart ko ang knowledge ko about wound care diri sa Guimaras,” he stated, underscoring his passion for enhancing local healthcare.
Governor JC Rahman Nava commended the hospital for this significant achievement, emphasizing its potential to greatly benefit the local populace and reshape the perception of government healthcare facilities.
He further stated his aspiration to integrate this advancement into a cohesive hospital system, reflecting his policy agenda, “Kabataan FIRST,” which prioritizes the reinforcement of healthcare services in Guimaras.
