Guimaras to Provide Smart TVs for Grade 3 Learners

The Provincial Government of Guimaras has announced plans to procure Smart TV sets for schools to enhance educational delivery and bridge the digital divide for learners across the province.

During the Provincial School Board (PSB) meeting on Dec. 16, 2024, at the Congressional Hall in San Miguel, Jordan, Governor JC Rahman A. Nava highlighted the importance of innovative solutions to address challenges faced by students and teachers in the evolving educational landscape.

The PSB approved the procurement of 98 Smart TV sets, which will be distributed to Grade 3 learners in public schools and learning hubs identified in collaboration with the Department of Education-Guimaras.

These Smart TV sets will support blended learning by providing access to multimedia materials, online resources, and virtual instruction sessions, making lessons more interactive and accessible.

This initiative addresses the growing demand for digital learning tools as schools adopt hybrid and blended learning approaches.

The program also aligns with Governor Nava’s Kabataan FIRST agenda, which prioritizes equipping students with 21st-century skills and empowering teachers to deliver engaging lessons.

The provincial government aims to make education more inclusive and technology-driven, ensuring that students and teachers are prepared for the challenges of modern education.
