One of the most loyal athletes in the PBA has decided to hang his jersey after spending all of his playing years with the TNT Tropang Giga franchise.

Harvey Carey, one of the most athletic big men the PBA has ever seen, has been an instrumental piece in TNT’s glory days since being drafted in 2003.

In the year he was drafted, TNT won its first PBA title in the All-Filipino Cup.

As the fourth-overall pick, Carey made his presence felt and served as a defensive anchor for TNT.

His consistent energy and tenacity earned him a spot in the PBA Mythical Second Team at the end of his first year.

Throughout the course of his 17-year run with TNT, he is remembered as a humble leader who helped his teammates get back into the game.

“We would like to thank Harvey for everything he has done for TNT Tropang GIGA. He has been a consummate leader, proven winner, great teammate, and an excellent basketball player,” said TNT team manager Gabby Cui.

During the last PBA bubble season, Carey called it the last conference of his career.

Carey will retire as a seven-time champion, a PBA All-Star, and a former Defensive Player of the Year – all achieved in white and yellow.
