ROXAS CITY, Capiz — A 38-year-old man wanted for homicide was arrested at about 11:35 a.m. Thursday, March 12, in Barangay Balijuagan here.
Police identified the suspect only as alias Junjun, 38, of Bayot Drive, Barangay IX, Roxas City.
The Roxas City police served the warrant of arrest issued July 31, 2015, by then-Regional Trial Court Judge Jeffrey D. Almalbis of Branch 14 in Roxas City.
The court recommended bail of PHP 40,000 for his temporary liberty.
The suspect is under the custody of the Roxas City police for proper disposition and court referral.
Meanwhile, police also served a warrant of arrest against a welder at about 4:52 p.m. on March 11, 2026, in Barangay Poblacion Ilawod, Dao, Capiz.
Police identified the suspect only as alias Mar, 50, of Barangay Lacaron, Dao, Capiz.
The warrant was issued Feb. 12, 2026, by Municipal Circuit Trial Court Judge Emmanuel Ebacuado Pelea of Pilar, Sorsogon.
The court recommended bail of PHP 12,000 for his temporary liberty.
He was charged with violating Presidential Decree 1866, as amended by Republic Act 8294, or illegal possession of firearms.
He is under the custody of the Dao Municipal Police Station for proper disposition and court referral.
