DoubleDragon’s Hotel101 Global App has reached over 500,000 registered users worldwide, marking a significant milestone in the company’s global expansion strategy. The app, which allows users to book, check in, and check out with ease, is expected to surpass 1 million registered users by the end of 2024.
“Eventually, our goal is for the Hotel101 Global App (HBNB App) to have over 1 million registered users in every country where Hotel101 operates,” said DoubleDragon Chairman Edgar Injap Sia II. He noted that new hotels in Spain and Japan will drive future growth, aiming to add millions of users from each country as the brand expands globally.
The HBNB App, which integrates self-check-in capabilities, is designed to streamline the guest experience, according to Hotel101 Global CEO Hannah Yulo-Luccini. “The HBNB App with self-check-in capabilities will provide Hotel101 customers with seamless hotel experience…all can be done in the HBNB App,” she said, adding that the app aims to become “the most efficient and easiest to use hotel app globally.”
As the first three international Hotel101 projects launch, DoubleDragon anticipates a foreign currency revenue boost of PHP27.2 billion (USD471 million). The company’s asset-light business model combines preselling hotel units with consistent revenue from hotel operations, allowing it to grow while reducing costs.
Hotel101 also employs a dynamic pricing model that adjusts room rates based on real-time demand, further increasing its appeal to global travelers. Long-term, DoubleDragon aims for 1 million operating hotel rooms worldwide by 2050, with 50,000 rooms located in the Philippines.
As DoubleDragon prepares for a U.S. listing, its total equity is set to exceed PHP100 billion in 2024, furthering its mission to position Hotel101 as a major dollar inflow generator for the Philippine economy. With plans to expand to countries across Asia, Europe, and North America, the company is positioned to become a top-five global hotel chain.
