How did Capiz cops fare in May 2023?

ROXAS CITY, Capiz – The Capiz Provincial Police Office (CPPO) under Lt. Col. Jerome Afuyog, Capiz police director, bared their accomplishments in May 2023.

Leading in their accomplishment report was the arrest of 57 individuals for alleged illegal fishing activities in the waters of Capiz.

Around P4 million worth of fishing paraphernalia were recovered from the operations.

The accomplishment report also indicated that 18 persons wanted for different crimes were arrested last month.

Nine persons were arrested in anti-illegal drug operations that resulted in the confiscation of some 95.584 grams of illegal drugs.

Meanwhile, 35 persons were arrested in 26 anti-illegal gambling operations while P5,910 in bet money were seized.

Six unlicensed firearms were surrendered to the police while 3 persons were arrested for violation of Republic Act 10591 (Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunitions Laws).

For anti-illegal logging operations, 486 board feet of lumber worth P4,580 were recovered in two operations.
