Hua Siong dribblers rout Bing Conlu, 89-49

HUA SIONG College of Iloilo (HSCI) kept their season alive after securing their third win in as much number of games in the U15 category of the ongoing SBP Chairman’s Cup at HSCI-Ledesco covered gym, May 21, 2019. 

The team’s latest victim was archrival Bing Conlu Team who suffered their second straight loss in the league, 89-49.

The losing squad opened the match in a hot scoring spree but Hua Siong answered with its own rally of triples to establish a double-digit figure. 

In the second half, Bing Conlu’s hotshots rattled in the court after trailing by 20 points. Hua Siong took advantage of the situation and capitalized on their big men to control the glass and add to the margin en route to their victory.

Lorenzo Yu and Rez Arrhon Panes chipped in 14 points each for Hua Siong as they improved their standing with three wins and a loss.

Team Bing Conlu dropped to two wins and two losses. 

Meanwhile, the University of San Agustin (USA) also continued its winning streak in the league after routing SBP Pototan, 98-39.

Joshua Emmanuel Pajanoy contributed 23 points for USA while Agapito Clarito Jr. amassed 17 points.

Passi City Hunters also pounded Assumption Passi, 72-49, with Christian Espinosa and Hinze Paul Drilon scoring 12 points each for the victors. 

In the U12 division, USA bowed to Iloilo Central Elementary School (ICES) Hunters, 49-46.

Kier Enzo Naaman paced Hunters with 18 points, while fellow cager Lance Andrei Gumban contributed 7 points. The Hunters improved to four wins and one loss.

Still in the same division, PAREF-Westbridge pummelled Assumption Passi, 41-39. Ethan Oraa and Chry Lebron Lorca scored 12 and 10 points, respectively.

Hua Siong dribblers won their game against Passi City via forfeiture.
