After three months of grueling elimination battles, the Iloilo City Basketball Club (ICBC) second conference is all set for its highly-anticipated playoff round today, at the Monterosa Subdivision basketball gym, Mandurriao, Iloilo City.
Just like its previous conference, the second conference playoff stage will feature the league’s best squads who made the Magic 8 based on their impressive regular season win-loss standing.
Leading the leaderboard is team Kucho Café/Medal Sportswear who officially clinched the no. 1 spot after finishing the eliminations with a dominant 10-2 win-loss record.
Three teams then shared an identical 9-3 record next to Kucho/Medal, Onts Café Bistro, Dois Seafood/Tambayan Bistro, and RDT Tamaraw.
Meanwhile, Selecta, 42Big, and Jayties Samgyupsal wrapped up the eliminations with a 7-5 record that filled the sixth-eighth spot for the playoffs.
Last but not the least, team CVV Wheels made the final cut after finishing the regular games with a 6-6 record.
A fiery matchup between the league-leading Medal Sportswear and CVV Wheels will be gracing the playoff round for the first scheduled game at 6:15 PM.
After the Medal-CVV duel, Onts Café will seek to protect their twice-to-beat advantage against Jayties Samgyupsal for the last game of the first playoff schedule.
A double-header will then treat the Ilonggo basketball enthusiasts on November 25, 2023 as team Dois/Tambayan will challenge team 42Big in the first schedule to be followed by RDT Tamaraw’s game against Selecta.
