Over one month, the Iloilo City Police Office (ICPO) arrested 82 individuals linked to illegal drugs.
These arrests resulted from 56 anti-narcotics operations conducted from October 1 to 31.
Of those arrested, 30 were classified as high-value individuals (HVIs), while 52 were street-level targets.
Iloilo City Police Station 4 reported the highest number of arrests at 16, followed by the City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU) with 13.
Iloilo City Police Station 1 recorded nine arrests; Police Stations 2, 8, and 9 each made seven arrests; Police Station 10 reported six; Police Stations 5 and 7 logged five each; Police Station 3 had four; and Police Station 6 recorded three.
The ICPO also seized approximately 4.8 kilograms of suspected shabu, valued at PHP 32.7 million.
Although ICPS 4 made the most arrests, the CDEU recorded the highest volume of drugs seized, amounting to about 2,610 grams of suspected shabu worth PHP 17.748 million.
Among the 10 police stations, ICPS 1 reported the largest drug seizure, with 668 grams of shabu valued at PHP 4.54 million.
Colonel Kim Legada, Iloilo City police chief, commended ICPO personnel for their sustained and relentless anti-drug efforts.
“These achievements reflect your dedication and commitment to your sworn duties to protect our community from the harms of illegal drugs,” he said.
Legada also urged his team to continue building trust and confidence within the community as they work toward a drug-free city.
