Iloilo A. Diasnes Gym dominates first national tourney of the year

The Iloilo A. Diasnes Gym jins shook off their rust after nearly two months of tournament inactivity and immediately ruled their first competition of 2021.

It was business as usual for the Ilonggo jins after hauling medals during the 2021 Visayas New Face of the Year Poomsae and Speed Kicking Taekwondo Championships.

The Diasnes jins collected a total of 58 medals, 11 gold medals, 20 silver, and 27 bronze during the final tally of the competition.

Familiar names raked in gold medals in their respective categories: Kian Ezekiel Castigador, Margareth Anne Aguana, Airon Melvin Aguana delivered in the poomsae category.

Meanwhile, gold medalists in the free kicking category were Seth Ryan Templanza, Ehyan Rhodwell Talabucon, Zion Nickolo Guiñez, and Castigador.

For the kickpad kicking category, Cross Leone Tady, Markey Jaims Arboleda, Mary Noelle Alim, and Templanza were the gold medalists.

After opening 2021 with a bang, the Iloilo-based taekwondo gym bared that they are just getting started and will strive to bring pride to Iloilo in the upcoming tournaments they will join.

Along with coach Flora Navales, the champion jins are also guided and supervised by coaches Alan Diasnes, Alfie Diasnes, Ryka Bernardo, and RMC Chairman for Region VI-B Jun Diasnes.
