The MB Dance Academy from the City of Love just dazzled the whole country after hauling medals during the 3rd Central Luzon Central Ball 2021.

Supervised by head trainer Matthew Balbastro, the MB Academy dancers collected a total of 20 gold medals, one of the highest they achieved so far as a group.

Zoe Lanceta, Kevin Sabuero, Ysabelle Cartagena, Joemel Magallanes, Leanne Lanceta, Dana Angelica Galfo, and John Michael Laniog Tamudtamud were hailed as gold medalists in their respective categories.

Meanwhile, Gab Sarate, Lanceta, Galfo, and Cartagena managed to win silver medals on top of their championship achievement in different categories.

Khaye Formon, Chinalyn Mamar, and Therese Gatmaitan then rounded up the list of awardees after making it to the semifinals of their categories.

Despite the pandemic, coach Tanco and the rest of the team were consistent with their training and started their 2021 with a huge national tournament win.

The MB Academy does not only compete in local and national competitions but they were also able to win in Malaysia, Kuching, Kuala Lumpur, Korea, Hongkong, and Singapore.

Under the leadership of coach Tanco, a registered Radiologic Technologist and a member of the Dancesport Council of the Philippines, there is nothing sweeter than seeing the kids reap the fruits of their labor.

“Very blessed gid ako nga gin gaan ako ni Lord sang mga mayo nga mga estudyante. Mga kulit sometimes but very obedient. Isa ko lang ka taas tingog ga pati dayun sila. And I know not because nahadlok sila but may respeto sila. Always remember that attitude brought us to places not the dance alone,” said coach Tanco.
