The Iloilo City Sports Academy is slowly returning to action despite the difficulties caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Tennis was one of the first sports allowed by the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) on Emerging Infectious Diseases to resume after most of the areas in the country slid down to General Community Quarantine (GCQ).

In line with that, the Iloilo City Sports Academy will be bringing the Parents and Coaches Tennis Association Tournament 2020 in cooperation with the Iloilo City Government.

This will be the first sporting event Executive Assistant for Sports Mr. Rudiver Jungco Sr. and his City Sports team will hold since the outbreak of COVID-19.

“Sa pag amat-amat sang sports indi lang sa syudad ta pero pati sa Philippines, we will be holding a tennis tournament but with strict safety protocols to be followed para safe kita,” said Mr. Jungco Sr., in an exclusive interview with the Daily Guardian.

The tournament will be streamed live via Facebook and will be the first online tournament by the City Sports Division office.

Mr. Alven Santiago, Mr. Alquinn Flores, and Mr. Jonelle Llavore, head the organizing committee of the tournament.
