Cebu Pacific Air has officially announced the launch of new direct flights from Iloilo to Dumaguete, Legazpi (Daraga), and Bohol, set to begin in December.
The airline shared the news through its official Facebook page on Oct. 21.
The new routes will operate as follows:
- Iloilo to Dumaguete: Three times weekly on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday
- Iloilo to Legazpi (Daraga): Three times weekly on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday
- Iloilo to Bohol: Daily flights
Cebu Pacific’s expansion from its Iloilo hub underscores its commitment to enhancing inter-island connectivity, particularly in time for the holiday season when many Filipinos travel to reunite with family and friends across provinces.
“We are excited to introduce three new domestic routes from Iloilo, which come just in time for the holiday season when many Filipinos go the extra mile to visit loved ones in different provinces,” Cebu Pacific President Xander Lao said in a statement.
The Provincial Tourism Officer of Camarines Norte expressed enthusiasm about the new Legazpi route.
“Apart from the convenience, the new Iloilo to Legazpi route will enhance connectivity between the Western Visayas and Bicol regions. This will be a significant boost for both regions. We are very happy and looking forward to more visits,” the tourism officer told Daily Guardian during the recent Regional Travel Fair held in Capiz.
With these new routes, a total of 14 destinations will be served from Iloilo, including international flights to Hong Kong and Singapore, further boosting the local tourism industry.
Travelers can easily book their flights through Cebu Pacific’s official website and mobile app.
