AFTER Iloilo head coach Eric Gonzales’ bizarre moment on the court last week, the MPBL Management slapped him with a two-game suspension and a 20,000 peso fine. To recall, coach Gonzales entered the playing court and disrupted Aris Dionisio in their game against Manila Star Frontrow.
Coach Nash Racela took over the helm during Gonzales’ 2-game absence, losing to the Mindoro Tamaraws and bouncing back against Valenzuela SPV TOP Marketplace.
Coach Gonzales’ return is timely as his team’s next game will be their first-ever home game against Pasay Voyagers on September 19 at the University of San Agustin Gym, Iloilo.
The Voyagers are currently on a league-best six-game winning streak.
Pasay is just a win ahead of Iloilo, and if the Ilonggos notch the victory, they will have the chance to rank fourth in the South Division.
