Iloilo MVP taekwondo gym shines during Capiz tilt

Way to go, Iloilo MVP Gym! (Mark V. Pinggol)

The Iloilo Mark V. Pinggol (MVP) taekwondo gym dominated another tournament after bagging 21 gold medals during the 6th Capiztahan Taekwondo Championships on April 13, 2024, in SM City, Roxas, Capiz.

After a day full of taekwondo action in Capiz, the renowned Iloilo-based taekwondo gym lived up to the hype and collected a total of 21 golds, nine silvers, and three bronze medals.

Just like their previous outing during the 4th Mayor Stephen Palmares Invitational Taekwondo Championships where they raked 28 gold medals, the Ilonggo jins representing the MVP gym were all gas no breaks as they made waves once again in Western Visayas.

In the poomsae category, Anthony Benedict Planta, Viene Marie Dulaca, Xabriel Zia Gebucion, Adenny Lourl Rivera, Nieka Thalia Guevara, Duncan Kyle Rivera, and Jose B. Dilag lll all delivered the gold medals for the Iloilo MVP gym.

Meanwhile, Jace Raven S. Ganadillo, Angelica Crystal B. Dilag , Zac Orleans, Dilag III, and Rivera managed to nab silver medals.

Completing the list of podium finishers in the poomsae category are Guevara, Cirila Johanne O. Sulatra, and Ashley Parreñas.

In the kyorugi category, the jins that won gold medals are Sophia Marie Bautista, Adenny Lourl Rivera, Duncan Kyle Rivera, Justine Rianne S. Ganadillo, Adrian Joseph Gajasan lll, Antonio Cezar Roldan, Elmeira Ville C. Loren, Jose Miguel Ariete, Christian Mark Palacios, Rein Ian D. Dongosa, and Prince Ivan Dugayo.

Cirila Johanne O. Sulatra, Alleinna Nestley Gajasan, Alexander Niccolo Gajasan, and Angel Rochelle B. Dilag then picked up the silver medals.

Lastly, the trio of Alexis Jane Robles, Carlisle Jann O. Sulatra, and Reyna Grace Elias were able to beat the buzzer and hand the Iloilo MVP gym three bronze medals.
