The Iloilo Mark V. Pinggol (MVP) Taekwondo gym will be holding its first-ever online promotion test amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
This will be a historical event because this will be the very first time that the MVP gym will hold an online promotion test, a regular activity of the Philippine Taekwondo Association conducted in every Regional Chapter by the Regional Promotion Board Committee wherein a taekwondo athlete is being assessed for belt upgrading after 3 to 4 months of intensive training in the gym.
28 hardworking jins hoping to advance from white belt to brown belt will put themselves to the test under the supervision and monitoring of the MVP gym staff and coaches from June 13-14.
Originally slated on June 7, the online promotion test was postponed because some jins were affected by the brownout that pushed the organizers to move the date to a more favorable one.
This will be the second promotion test for the prized gym with the first being done on a face-to-face basis before the COVID-19 pandemic.
The jins and the MVP staff will be conducting the promotion test through Zoom.
