Right after Executive Assistant for Sports, Mr. Rudiver Jungco Sr. told the Daily Guardian about their plan for an Iloilo Sports Academy, many students were quick to respond to the plan by enrolling as early as today.
In an interview with Jungco, he said that almost 30 participants per sport have already signed up, and they are very happy that many Ilonggos are passionate enough to enroll in the long-term sports project.
With the main purpose of training the Ilonggo athletes from the most basic to the advanced level, the academy also would like to teach proper manners and conduct to the enrollees.
“As of now, damo pa diri ang gasaka sa city hall para mag enroll sa aton sports academy. We have already 10 trainers para sa academy, and if tam-an gid kadamo ang aton students, we will have to talk about it kung dugangan ang aton trainers. As of now, happy gid kami kay damo ang nag enroll sa academy,” Jungco told the Daily Guardian in an interview.
The Iloilo Sports Academy is initially eyed to launch this coming January 2020.
