ILOILO’S OPULENT CHARITY BALL!

Iloilo’s high society gave life to the much-awaited Rigodon De Honor Charity Ball spearheaded by society Doyens and Miss Iloilo Production heads Sarah O. Pena and Beverly Rosales-Chaplin

Everyone came in their best Filipiniana gowns and Barongs who came to see and be seen at the sprawling Iloilo Convention Center Hall which was spruced in old world charm decors.

A cool cocktail by Chef Miguel Cordova welcomed everyone at the lobby.

Dinner was a 6-course affair of Ilonggo-Spanish flavors especially prepared by Chefs Ariel Castneda of Richmonde Hotel Ilolo, Ding Montelibano, and Carlo Co of Hotel del Rio.

High;iting the evening was of course the much awaited Rigondon de Honor performed by the A-list personalities in the City led by  Iloilo Festival Foundation Chairman Judgee Lopez Pena and wife Sarah O. Peña and their son-in-law Ed Sarabia along with Iloilo City Vice Mayor Jeffrey and Girlie Ganzon.

Also joining the royalty dance were Romy and Chona Bondoc nee Layson, Iloilo City Councilor Miguel Treñas and Maria Isabel Layson, Allan Tan and Joji Rosales, Ray and Sandra Gomez nee Sarabia, Allan and Prima Sweeney,  Beverly Rosales–Chaplin and Novie Bereber, Dong and Terry Sarabia, Dr. Rollin Tabuena and  Socorro Locsin, Jeanette Lloyd and Atty. Eden Tan, Joe Marie and Dr. TechieLayson, Jose Joel Bolivar and Merly Ajayi, Dr. Louie Tirador and Dr. Elvie Gozales, Atty JC Bangoy and Anilao Vice Mayor Matet Debuque, Mars Florete III and mom Susan Florete, Iloilo Councilor Sedfrey Cabaluna and Lilia Lim, Jake Cocjin and Bernadette Belmonte, Joren and Annie Sartorio,  Dr. Roland Latap and Dr. Debbie Palmes.

A live Rondalla performed the Rigodon dance which ended with “bravos” and applause from chic guests.
