One of Iloilo province’s most wanted individuals was arrested on the morning of November 14 in Rizal province.
Alias Ruben, 30, a resident of Barangay Pasayan, Batad, Iloilo, was apprehended in Barangay San Isidro, Antipolo City.
Members of the Batad Municipal Police Station arrested Ruben based on an arrest warrant for frustrated homicide, docketed under Criminal Case No. 2021-10248.
Judge Jose Mauricio Gomez of the Regional Trial Court Branch 71 in Barotac Viejo, Iloilo, issued the arrest warrant on January 12, 2022.
The court set bail at PHP 200,000 for the suspect’s temporary liberty.
According to Captain Ma. Rosela Buenvenida, Batad police chief, Ruben filed a motion to reduce bail and posted bail on Friday.
Ruben is ranked as the sixth most wanted person in Iloilo province.
Authorities reported that Ruben went into hiding shortly after allegedly stabbing his neighbor during a drinking session in Batad town in 2021.
