Ilongga volleyball star Princess Robles will be making a transition from the UAAP to the professional rank after Chery Tiggo Crossovers officially signed her for the upcoming conference of the Premier Volleyball League (PVL).

Everything was announced last May 27, 2023, after Chery Tiggo welcomed Robles to their family in a graphic social media post.

Despite failing to help the National University (NU) Lady Bulldogs win back-to-back UAAP women’s volleyball titles after getting swept by the De La Salle University (DLSU) Lady Spikers during the grand finals, Robles still left her mark as one of the best team captains of the NU program.

The former member of the Central Philippine University (CPU) women’s volleyball program and the pride of Arevalo, Iloilo City was hailed as last season’s Finals Most Valuable Player (MVP) and is expected to bring her winning mentality to the Chery Tiggo squad.

Robles will also have the chance to learn from one of the country’s most celebrated outside spikers, Mylene Paat, who is Chery Tiggo’s current superstar.

Aside from Robles, the Crossovers signed Robles’ teammates Jen Nierva and Joyme Cagande, also members of the Season 84 undefeated UAAP queens.

Nierva, one of the craftiest liberos in the UAAP, will be tasked to anchor Chery Tiggo’s floor coverage while Cagande will be one of their backup setters.

Imee Hernandez, University of Santo Tomas’ superstar middle blocker, will also reinforce the team after announcing her arrival last May 28, 2023.

The Crossovers are currently campaigning for another PVL championship title and previously said that they will be adding more young players to provide the youth and energy their roster will be needing.
