BACOLOD City – Two persons, including an Indian national, were wounded after their motorcycle was hit by a Ceres Liner bus at Hacienda Agustina, Barangay Sag-ang, La Castellana, Negros Occidental yesterday.

The victims were identified as Lea Ibañes, 45, and Lackmvir Kaur, 27.

Police Major Rhojn Darell Nigos, town police chief, said the bus and the motorcycle driven by Ibañes were traveling in the same direction when the former failed to notice the latter.

Nigos said the vehicles were on the same lane since the other lane is being repaired.

“Wala niya daw nadeparahan ang motor siguro sang nag stop ini,” he added.

Nigos said the Vallacar Transit Inc. has already extended assistance to the two victims who were brought to a hospital.

He said the bus driver is detained at the police station pending the decision of the victims on the incident.
