Personalization is emerging as the defining force behind influencer marketing in 2025, with brands and creators alike adjusting their strategies to align with evolving audience expectations on social media.
As algorithms tailor content to individual behaviors and preferences, viewers now expect a feed that resonates with their interests — making authenticity, relatability, and relevance more important than ever.
“Influencers have the unique ability to inform, entertain, and connect with audiences in ways traditional ads cannot,” said Near Creative, a digital marketing agency that recently released its 2025 influencer trend report.
The agency identified five key trends shaping influencer campaigns this year, beginning with the continued rise of micro-influencers, whose niche content and engaged followings are resonating particularly well with Gen Z consumers.
“Gen Zs are more discerning than ever,” the agency said. “They gravitate toward micro-influencers because they feel more accessible and authentic, making them ideal brand advocates.”
The second trend is the repurposing of long-form content, which has found renewed value in short-form segments.
While long-form video is not obsolete, brands are encouraged to deliver its essence in snackable clips — a nod to today’s always-on, mobile-first consumers who scroll quickly through feeds.
Also gaining momentum is user-generated content (UGC), which complements influencer marketing by showcasing real users’ experiences with a brand.
“UGC builds trust and community,” Near Creative noted. “It moves beyond the polished influencer post and taps into the credibility of everyday consumers.”
The report also highlights the strategic benefit of long-term influencer partnerships, which allow creators to fully immerse in the brand, creating more authentic and consistent storytelling over time.
“The longer an influencer works with a brand, the more confidently they can communicate its value — and that’s something Gen Z audiences deeply appreciate,” the agency emphasized.
Lastly, TikTok Shop continues to rise as a preferred e-commerce platform in the Philippines, offering a seamless path from discovery to purchase.
Brands are urged to work with influencers through TikTok Shop using creative tools such as affiliate links, livestreams, and engaging videos that lead viewers through the customer journey.
With these trends converging, personalization remains the core principle behind successful campaigns.
“Everything from content format to platform choice should be informed by what audiences want to see, hear, and buy,” Near Creative said.
The company also announced the release of its 2025 influencer trends e-book, which includes exclusive local case studies and a bonus guide on social media trends, available at www.nearcreative.co.
