There is no stopping the Iloilo Police Provincial Office (IPPO) in running after wanted persons.

Police Colonel Paul Kenneth Lucas, Iloilo police chief, made the declaration as more most wanted persons were arrested in the province lately.

“It is our commitment to arrest the fugitives of justice and let them face the court,” Lucas said.

While Ilonggos are known for their hospitality, “this province does not welcome wanted persons,” he added.

“The arrest of wanted persons from Mindanao must send a strong message that Iloilo province is not a home for fugitives,” he said.

Meanwhile, Lucas lauded all his personnel behind the various successful police operations leading to the arrest of wanted persons.

It can be noted that four most wanted persons were cornered during police operations in a span of three days.

Two most wanted persons in Mindanao were arrested in separate occasions in Iloilo province.

The suspects were identified as Michael Concepcion, 35, of Basinilan in Cotabato province and Ronald Capillo, 34, of Upi, Maguidanao.

Concepcion, Basinilan’s third most wanted person, was arrested afternoon of August 21 at Badiangan town where he worked as a carpenter.

Meanwhile, Capillo worked as a family helper at Barangay Barasan Oeste, Santa Barbara, when arrested.

He is the number two most wanted persons of Upi town. On Sunday, two more wanted persons were arrested.

Police also collared Reymar Roscales, the No. 6 most wanted person of Anilao, Iloilo at Barangay Bolong Oeste, Santa Barbara town.

Roscales was wanted for frustrated murder, and Judge Oscar Leo Bilena of RTC-6 Branch 66 issued the warrant of arrest against him without recommending a bail.
