The Department of Agriculture Western Visayas is still issuing foodlane accreditation and vehicle pass to all agri-products suppliers and truckers at Western Visayas Integrated Agricultural Research Center (WESVIARC) in Hamungaya, Jaro, Iloilo City and DA designated offices in the provinces in the region.
DA-WV Director Remelyn R. Recoter said that the department is ensuring the unhampered and unimpeded movement of all agricultural inputs and essential commodities to see to it that every Filipino family have access to safe, affordable and sufficient food in the markets across the country amid the enforcement of enhanced community quarantine.
According to Maria Teresa T. Solis, chief of the Agribusiness and Marketing Assistance Division (AMAD 6) they have already issued 2,150 foodlane passes for the period March 18 to 24.
Aklan issued 75 food passes; Antique, 60; Capiz, 156; Guimaras, 13; Iloilo province, 1,692; Negros Occidental, 150; and five were issued to applicants from outside the region.
DA-AMAD is in full force and open to serve from Monday to Saturday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. to manage the application and accreditation process of foodlane passes.
Issues and concerns on food lane pass encountered on provincial boundaries were promptly address by the DA-WV in coordination with the interAgency task force in the region. (http://rfu6.da.gov.ph)
