Yesterday this column presented a report of the testimony of Dr. Pierre Kory before the US Senate committee. He batted for government to consider Ivermectin as a frontline, first defense against the corona virus. He brought this matter to the US Congress not only because of apathy on the part of health authorities but active resistance to its mass use. As the US is a focal point on this fight against the virus, the decision will have global implications. We continue with his other points that border on frustration.
“We are in a pandemic, we are at war,” he lamented. “Stop pretending this is peacetime where we are conducting business as usual. The NIH must rapidly review the data and make a recommendation.
“The FLCCC Alliance has been blocked in attempts to disseminate scientific information about Ivermectin on Facebook and other social media with the FLCCC’s pages repeatedly being shut down. Furthermore, after the group’s December 4, 2020 press conference in Houston, no major U.S. media outlets reported the FLCCC’s pleas for help from the federal government to act in order to bring this pandemic to an end. Nor did any representative from the CDC, the NIH or the World Health organization contact them.”
The refusal of mainstream media to carry the news about Ivermectin is expected as already expressed by the Associated Press that declared that the drug is ineffective. The AP statement drew criticisms from doctors who have used and are still using this drug with excellent results. The doctors called the AP statement as a “hit job”. A “hit” is an American slang which means “a premeditated murder for criminal or political purposes.”
Indeed, the AP statement is intended to “kill” whatever good points Dr. Kory had raised. As I said yesterday, the AP statement was not backed by citing authorities that found the drug useless. That the AP “fact checker” was quick to issue the “hit” means Dr. Kory’s testimony is damaging to the globalist cause to push for the vaccine as the only treatment to COVID-19.
“I don’t know how much longer I can do this,” said Kory. “Especially knowing that it will all be needless death from here on out, given there is a readily available solution, a solution that cannot be dismissed or ignored. There is a critical need to inform health care providers in this country and the world. The leadership of our governmental health care agencies has a great responsibility here. All we ask is for the NIH, the CDC, and the FDA to conduct a rapid review of the literature reviewed in this presentation and provide guidance to the country’s health care providers.
“If we do nothing, the present trend will continue. History will judge. The American people will cry for answers or will praise the courage of those elected to represent their interest.”
Aside from Dr. Kory, there were other witnesses. They denied being anti-vaccines or anti-science, claiming instead that the government and medical establishment were neglecting alternative and cheaper therapies and early interventions.
Dr. Ramin Oskoui, a cardiologist at Sibley Memorial Hospital in Washington, D.C., said practicing physicians were being shamed for using alternative therapies, calling it “medical McCarthyism.”
Senator Ronald Johnson who heads the committee, said the reaction to his hearings was evidence of the close mindedness of the news media, Democrats, the medical establishment and government health agencies.
“It amazes me how these hearings have been attacked,” said Johnson, whose chairmanship of the Senate’s homeland security committee will end in January.
He also repeated his claims that the government overreacted to the pandemic, hurting the economy. At least in the United States, the US Congress took note of this “silencing” of the alternative, cheap and readily available treatment against COVID-19. In the Philippines, not one official in the executive or the supposedly independent Congress has taken the initiative to search for alternative to the expensive vaccines. It seems the entire Philippine government has already decided the vaccines are the only solution. One wonders why.
More unfortunate is that doctors who asked for a hearing were not only “shamed” but threatened with investigation as if using an alternative drug approved by the government is a crime.
