Jail officers, PDLs test negative in drug test

BACOLOD City – Fourteen personnel and 46 persons deprived of liberty (PDLs) of the Metro Bacolod District Jail (MBDJ) – male dormitory annex at Phase VI-B, Barangay Handumanan here tested negative in the drug test last Saturday.

PDLs were randomly picked to undergo the test, while jail officers subjected themselves for the test.

Members of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) -Negros Occidental assisted the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) in the conduct of the drug test.

The test was done per instruction of Senior Inspector Egbert Nagrampa, jail warden.

It was conducted to ensure the non-existence of contraband inside the jail, and to make sure that nobody is under the influence of illegal drugs.
