Jaylen Brown just earned his bag.

The young superstar shooting guard just agreed to the richest contract in NBA history and is set to sign a five-year $304 million super-max extension with the Boston Celtics until the end of the 2028-2029 season.

Multiple reports already announced the latest update in the Celtics’ off-season moves following the departure of point guard Marcus Smart and the arrival of big man Kristaps Porzingis in Boston.

If everything is finalized, Brown will be the first-ever NBA player to reach the $300 million extension mark with an average annual value of $60,800,000.

According to Boardroom, Brown’s contract extension is the largest in the history of the sport by both total value and average annual value.

Brown just surpassed Nikola Jokic’s five-year $270 million contract with the Denver Nuggets with a designation of veteran player super-max extension.

With the recent move made by Boston’s front office, it is with no doubt that the C’s will be building around Brown and current superstar Jayson Tatum for a few more years.

Boston is coming off a disappointing Eastern Conference finals exit at the hands of the eighth-seeded Miami Heat during the last playoffs.

If the Celtics were able to complete the historic 0-3 comeback after forcing a Game 7, they would’ve booked two-consecutive NBA final appearances.

The core duo of Brown and Tatum last took Boston to the finals two seasons ago but let their series lead slip away against Stephen Curry and the mighty Golden State Warriors.

Boston is still one of the top teams in the Eastern Conference despite trading away their star point guard Smart to the Memphis Grizzlies as part of a three-team deal.

With the likes of Derrick White and Malcolm Brogdon still on the roster for the next season including the frontcourt duo of Al Horford and Robert Williams, Boston is expected to rise once again and contend in the postseason.
