JB ABL reveals second installment of its Inter Ball Club Invitational Conference

The biggest basketball league in Iloilo City will once again treat Ilonggo ballers after confirming its second season of the Inter Ball Club Invitational Conference.

After a successful School Wars Conference, the JB Amateur Basketball League (JB ABL) already lined up the Inter Ball Club category expected to kick off this late July or early August.

Hours after the JB ABL committee posted a teaser poster of the conference on their official Facebook page, several ball clubs from all over Iloilo City had already expressed their interest in joining the prestigious league.

According to founder and commissioner Jayphet Balbacal, plenty of ball clubs already contacted him and expressed their willingness to join this year’s conference.

“Damo gd ang nag inquire sa aton for the second season sang aton inter ball club. However, indi ta pa ni sila ma cater tanan, mahina ang kalaban. We will clarify and set things straight sa upcoming meeting naton sa June 30,” Balbacal said in an exclusive interview with the Daily Guardian.

Last conference, the Day 1 basketball club clinched the inaugural championship title after defeating the stacked lineup of the LEPRECHAUNS x TUNESQUAD hoops squad.

This year, it is still yet to be decided if both top 2 finishers will grace this season’s conference but it was confirmed that the LEPRECHAUNS x TUNESQUAD club already hinted at a second straight league appearance.

Aside from team LEPRECHAUNS, commissioner Balbacal also revealed that seven other basketball clubs from Iloilo City had already inquired about reserving a slot to participate.

“For those who want to inquire more and ask about the format and etc., we are inviting you sa general meeting sang conference sa June 30, sa Alta Tierra Village basketball gym mag 3 PM,” added Balbacal.
