JMNHS dominates ICSSC taekwondo tilt

Jalandoni Memorial National High School (JMNHS) ruled the 2019 Iloilo City School Sports Council Meet (ICSSC) taekwondo event, garnering a total of 25 medals for both boys and girls category.

For the Kyorugi boys, Joe Mark Tabutol, Zandrie Palma, Steve Ian Michael Omelan, Charlie Chua, and Carl Vincent Delacruz won gold medals while John Lenard Mayang and Christopher Aisa grabbed silver.

During the Kyorugi girls event, Vanessa Jean Bungalso, Cassandra Jhen Vicente, Francine A. Delayre, and Jelyn Grace Domiquel nabbed gold medals while Kyla Andrea Villasis and Crisha Dawn Añolga got silver and Venus Javier got bronze.

In the Poomsae individual boys event, Manuel John Refugio and Nikko John Paredes both clinched silver medals while in the Poomsae team, Refugio, Paredes, and Jay Mark Tabutol won the gold medal.

For the girls’ Poomsae individual, Hanna Mari Gamboa and Marice Nicole Sarucam notched silver medals while in the Poomsae team, Gamboa, Sarucam, and Indara H. Hermosura got the gold medals.

The JMNHS mixed pair Poomsae got silvers, courtesy of Tabutol and Hermosura.

The head coach of the winning team is Ms. Medy B. Alcarde, joined by Ms. Eleonora Lucenio and the trainers are Mr. Melcris A. Villarin, Mr. Ian Gabreil B. Alcarde, and Mr. Janbert Caparal.
