RE-ELECTIONIST Iloilo City Mayor Jose S. Espinosa III was elated with the overwhelming support of an estimated 3,000 crowd that packed the City Proper district grand rally at Plaza Libertad on Friday.
Espinosa led the Team Arangka’s first huge gathering to encourage the Ilonggos’ continued cooperation to sustain the city’s good governance and progress for the benefit of constituents.
“I thank all of you for the big help to ensure the success of our plans, priorities, programs, projects, initiatives and services benefiting the residents. Let us pursue what we have started and work together to achieve our common goal,” Espinosa stressed.
The mayor vows to continue the city’s gains in its undertakings on anti-illegal drugs campaign, anti-corruption and anti-criminality.
The local chief executive wants more drug-cleared barangays declared in the metropolis as he initiated and created a team to assist the villages in their documentary requirements to fast track their clearing declaration.
Espinosa comes clean as there was no any case of graft filed against him in his long years of serving the public since he was councilor.
His administration and leadership is also on track in maintaining the city’s peace and order situation with the downtrend crime volume noted by the police. Authorities are regularly provided with logistical assistance, among others to efficiently and effectively carry out law enforcement and public safety endeavors.
Espinosa prioritizes on keeping the city peaceful and livable where Ilonggos are benefited from the impact of inclusive growth.
He pushes for the city’s vast potentials and momentum as the favorite MICE destination by being the most sought-after venue for giant meetings, incentives, conventions and exhibitions.
Espinosa also bats for sustainability of the city’s rich culture and heritage, tourism attractions and best practices which are sources of inspiration and benchmarks for other local government units, agencies, investors, visitors, and tourists here and abroad.
