THE Municipal Civil Registrar Office (MCRO) of Jordan defeated four other

MCROs in the 2019 Civil Registration Quiz provincial elimination round, during the Opening Ceremony of the Civil Registration Month, held at the Jordan Municipal Hall on February 1, 2019.

MCRO Jordan represented by Elizabeth E. Estilloro dominated the final round of the contest.

Mary Grace M. Apepe of MCRO San Lorenzo is in second place.

Other LCR staff who participated were Sherel F. Labaro of Buenavista, Josie G. Galimba of Sibunag, and Lorie H. Genanda of Nueva Valencia.

The top two winners were given a certificate of recognition and cash prizes while the other three participants received a certificate of participation and consolation prizes.

The top two winners will represent Guimaras in the Regional Civil Registration Quiz contest in February in support to the 2019 Civil Registration Month celebration themed “Inclusive and Responsive CRVS (Civil Registration and Vital Statistics): Worker Smarter through Innovation.”

The quiz contest ensued the successful information caravan around the province starting off from the Municipality of Buenavista, to San Lorenzo, Sibunag, Nueva Valencia and ending at Jordan, where the opening ceremony was conducted to officially open the month-long celebration of Civil Registration.

It was spearheaded by the Municipal Civil Registrars Association of Guimaras with support from their respective local government units and in partnership with PSA-Guimaras.

The activity aims to test the level of awareness and readiness of the MCRO staff in answering queries of clients regarding civil registry documents processes.

In his message, Vice MayorGerardo Gaitan emphasized the importance of civil registration in the growth of society. He also acknowledged the efforts of all MCRs and the PSA who prepared the event.
