Kaya FC-Iloilo silenced critics and haters alike as they easily dispatched Mendiola FC with a dominant 5-1 win behind Jordan Mintah’s 4 goals.

Defensive miscommunication rattled Mendiola FC early in the game as Mintah received a wonderful pass from Shirmar            Felongco from the right flank for his first goal, just 15 minutes into the game.

Kaya FC switched gears and stepped on the gas pedal as they passed the ball with deadly precision, punctuated when Jalsor Soriano lobbed in a pass from the left flank to Mintah for his second goal.

Just nine minutes after Mintah’s second goal, Mendiola showed some signs of life after Ricardo Sendra converted a goal, ending the half 2-1.

As the second half started, Kaya FC continued the frenetic pace they had in the first half with Mintah again converting, this time a hat-trick off a wonderful header from Jayson Panhay’s corner kick.

Mendiola had 2 solid attempts in the second half but the Kaya backline was able to defend the ball well.

10 minutes before the whistle, Kaya was able to cash in another goal off a penalty conversion by Mintah to help seal the convincing victory.
