The Kaya FC-Iloilo hosted a massive drubbing of the Don Bosco Garelli FC, 12-0, in the ongoing Philippines Football League (PFL) on April 13, 2024, at the Rizal Memorial Stadium.

With the dominating victory, the Iloilo-based football club just improved to 2-0 and is now sitting as the no.1 squad in the PFL tournament.

Fresh off a momentum-boosting win over long-time rival team United City FC (formerly Ceres-Negros FC) during their debut match of the new conference, Kaya FC just picked up where they left off and steamrolled its way against Don Bosco.

Young superstar Jarvey Gayoso shone the most for Iloilo after tallying four total conversions against Don Bosco, spearheading their flawless attack to pull off the lopsided win.

Gayoso entered the Kaya FC scoring column in the first half as his goal tripled Iloilo’s advantage to 3-0, finding the back of the net after moments from Kaishu Yamazaki and Shuto Komaki.

The uprising striker then capped off his stellar performance with three more scores as he converted in the 67th, 86th, and 90th minute of the match.

Aside from Gayoso, Yamazaki, Komaki, Ilonggo ace Jan Melliza, and Robert Lopez Mendy also delivered goals for Kaya FC.

There was nothing that Don Bosco could do after Kaya FC built a commanding lead after the first half. Despite defensive adjustments in hopes of slowing down the reigning champions, Iloilo just proved to be too much and stepped on the gas pedal in the second half to cap off the victory.

Kaya FC will look to extend their PFL winning streak on April 21, 2024, at 8 PM as they challenge the Maharlika FC.
