One of the most celebrated professional Dota 2 players in the Philippines was just acquired by Korean squad T1 and will be playing for them.

Carlo “Kuku” Palad, who shocked the world with Dota 2 squad TNC when they pulled off an upset against The International (TI) champions OG, will try to do the same with his new squad.

The 24-year-old player is also the head coach for the Smart Omega Esports who are listed in the lower division of the Dota 2 tournaments.

Kuku will be forming one of the toughest rosters together with Matthew “Whitemon” Filemon, Karl “Karl” Jayme, Kenny “Xepher” Deo, and Souliya “JaCkky” Khoomphetsavong.

The former carry/mid role position player will continue to play as an offlaner for T1 and will also seek to give the experience the team needs for the big leagues.

Recently, the Filipino led T1 to a third place finish during the BTS Pro Series Season 4: Southeast Asia.
