Nick Kyrgios once again threw shade at the current world no. 1, Novak Djokovic.
In an Instagram live chat together with former world no. 1 Andy Murray, Nick Kyrgios was free-spirited enough to speak his mind while admitting he was on his sixth glass of wine.
During one moment, Kyrgios paused and told Murray that he thinks the latter is better than Djokovic, adding that he is in the position to judge because he fought both Murray and Djokovic in their primes.
“I think you should have one of the best careers ever. I think you are better than Djokovic,” said Kyrgios during the middle part of their IG live.
Kyrgios had a rough relationship with Djokovic since the two got tangled during grand-slam duels while consistently putting out comments against each other.
According to Kyrgios, the Serbian’s post-match celebrations are cringeworthy while Djokovic responded that Kyrgios had a “sick obsession with wanting to be liked.”
“Djokovic was playing dodgeball on my serve and you were slapping it for a winner. He was trying to dodge it, you were on it like a light,” added Kyrgios.
In their closing conversation during their IG live, Kyrgios said that he and Murray should team up and win a doubles title, and Murray replied with “Only if you promise to behave, you said you were going to.”
