BACOLOD City – More prizes await fully vaccinated residents of La Carlota City in Negros Occidental.
This, after the local government unit announced through its MyLa Carlota Facebook account that fully-vaccinated residents can take home three units of brand new tricycles, three laptops, and three high-end cellular phones, among other prizes.
A raffle dubbed “Vaccine 2-Win on the Roll” is slated on December 30, 2021.
The activity was approved by the Sangguniang Panlungsod. It is a way of the local government to encourage more residents to avail of the government’s vaccination program against the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).
In fact, Mayor Rex Jalando-on led the vaccination rollout of Pfizer vaccines at Villa Caridad covered court last Sunday.
At least 700 Pfizer vaccines were recently provided to the local government.
As of Sunday, October 17, 1,682 COVID-19 cases were recorded in the city, including 74 deaths, 102 active cases, and 1,506 recoveries.
