Lambunao’s most wanted man falls

A farmer who has been considered as the most wanted person of Lambunao town in Iloilo was arrested afternoon of May 26, 2021.

Rodrigo Gascon, 67, was collared at his house in Barangay Poblacion Ilaya, Lambunao around 2:58 p.m. Wednesday.

Members of Lambunao Police Station arrested the suspect by virtue of an arrest warrant for murder in Criminal Case No. 21-0823.

Judge Gemalyn Faunillo Tarol of the Iloilo Regional Trial Court Branch 76, Janiuay, Iloilo issued the arrest warrant with no bail.

The Lambunao Police Station is still checking the complaint against Gascon.

Meanwhile, another most wanted person was arrested afternoon of May 25 at Barangay Tabuc-Suba, Barotac Nuevo, Iloilo.

Rodel Carado, 39, of Barangay Alibunan, Barotac Nuevo, Iloilo, was on the most wanted list of Calinog town.

Major Rowena Hubero, Barotac Nuevo police chief, said the suspect was asked by his policeman-brother to turn himself in to authorities.

Hubero said that Carado’s brother is assigned to the intelligence section of Barotac Nuevo Police Station.

The suspect was arrested through a warrant of arrest in Criminal Case No. 21-0929.

Judge Farol also issued the arrest warrant. No bail was set for his provisional freedom.

Carado was allegedly involved in a killing in Calinog Public Market in 2018.

Both Gascon and Carado are now detained.
