Residents of the Province of Sarangani are able to save up money, time, and effort when conducting banking transactions, with offsite ATM facilities of the Land Bank of the Philippines (LANDBANK) now strategically installed in all municipalities of the province.
Sarangani Provincial Treasurer Eliza Cania emphasizes the convenience and security that LANDBANK touchpoints provide to residents in servicing banking and financial requirements.
“Walang private cars ang marami sa ating mga constituents. The presence of LANDBANK ATMs in all municipalities is a very big help to each of our government employees and private citizens. Hindi na nila kailangan pumunta sa kapitolyo para lang makapag-withdraw o gumawa ng basic banking transactions,” said Treasurer Cania.
LANDBANK’s total of 11 ATMs across Sarangani Province also contribute to the immediate delivery of financial assistance to 44,000 beneficiaries under the Conditional and Unconditional Cash Transfer (CCT and UCT) Programs of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).
The ATMs are complemented by 11 Agent Banking Partners operating on behalf of the Bank to deliver financial services to far-flung communities in Sarangani—one of the fastest-growing provinces in the SOCCKSARGEN region.
“The availability of various LANDBANK touchpoints in Sarangani are complementary by design to provide customers convenience. They can always withdraw cash from nearby LANDBANK ATMs, transact through our Agent Banking Partners, and perform online transactions via our digital banking services,” said LANDBANK President and CEO Cecilia C. Borromeo.
Over the years, LANDBANK has maintained a meaningful relationship with Sarangani Province as a partner in promoting financial inclusion and sustainable local development.
The Bank has extended to the local government units (LGUs) of the province access to different digital banking facilities such as the weAccess and Link.BizPortal, which have been crucial in effectively delivering uninterrupted essential services at the height of the COVID-19 surge in the province.
Through the LANDBANK Alabel and General Santos Highway Branches, Sarangani LGUs also make use of the Bank’s payroll and electronic salary loan services for the financing needs of employees.
The LANDBANK General Santos Lending Center also services the developmental requirements of the provincial and municipal LGUs to advance local recovery and build more resilient communities.
“LANDBANK has helped us post remarkable growth in our economy. You also helped us deliver and accomplish our plans and programs for the province. For that, we are truly grateful for the LANDBANK Management and Team,” Provincial Treasurer Cania added.
LANDBANK is the only bank present in all 81 provinces of the country, with its continued expansion anchored on promoting financial inclusion, especially in unbanked and underserved far-flung areas.
