Linda Batuigas Mitra, mom of Daily Guardian’s first Manila bureau chief Romyleen “Bem” Mitra, recently hosted a fun filled celebration with family, friends, and schoolmates in Batch ’57 of Iloilo City High School at Diversion 21 Hotel in Iloilo City to mark her 78th milestone.
After serving for 18 years as Unit Auditor for the Commission on Audit (Philippines), Madame Linda immigrated to the USA where she continued her career at the Los Angeles Unified School District.
She is now happily retired and spends her time in her Miagao, Iloilo residence and occasionally travels to Los Angeles, California to be with her children and grandkids.
