LTO-6 Offers Free Driving Course for Women

The Land Transportation Office Western Visayas (LTO-6) will offer a free 15-hour Theoretical Driving Course (TDC) exclusively for women in celebration of National Women’s Month 2025.

The sessions will take place at the Driver’s Education Center in Iloilo City on March 11-12 and March 13-14, 2025.

This initiative underscores LTO-6’s commitment to gender inclusivity and women’s empowerment, aligning with Women’s Month goals to recognize and uplift women in various sectors.

The free course will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Women interested in joining can secure a slot by sending their full name and preferred schedule to 0917-166-3576.

The two-day program is a key requirement for obtaining a new driver’s license and provides future drivers with essential knowledge of traffic laws, road safety, and responsible driving practices.

“This program is vital in creating safer roads by making driver education accessible to all, especially to women,” said LTO-6 Regional Director Atty. Gaudioso P. Geduspan II.

Assistant Regional Director Jeck Conlu also commended the initiative, emphasizing its role in fostering a culture of disciplined and responsible road use.

The sessions will be facilitated by expert instructors from LTO-6’s Traffic Safety Unit, led by Mel Joy Gaurano.

With support from the LTO Iloilo City Driver’s Education Center, the training ensures high-quality instruction that adheres to the highest educational standards.

Participants from previous TDC sessions have expressed gratitude for the free program, noting that it simplifies the licensing process while deepening their understanding of road etiquette and accident prevention.

Encouraged by positive feedback, LTO-6 plans to expand similar initiatives across Western Visayas, reinforcing its commitment to road safety education for all communities.

As LTO-6 continues to prioritize community-centered driver education, the agency remains dedicated to building safer roads and fostering stronger communities in the region.
